The greatest temptation David faced before fighting Goliath was that of ‘measuring up’. The soldiers already gave him Goliath’s intimidating profile, which Saul confirmed. Saul went a little further to offer David his personal armour. All the voices around David seemed to scream; “You are an unqualified underdog; you are not enough!”

David believed in himself and in His God. He announced to the king that Goliath would be like the lion and the bear he had killed prior to this battle. Child of God, do not fall into the temptation of measuring up with people because you think you are inadequate. You don’t need to have what others have before God can give you the results you desire.

Let Saul win with his armour but under no circumstance should you substitute your sling and stones for the royal armour of a fearful and scared king. You are enough. All the difficult moments God has brought you through are great preparations for your present challenges.

Stop looking elsewhere; you are enough. You carry the seed of victory within you. If you survived those early trying days; this too shall come to pass. The God that helped you kill the lion and the bear did not see your present challenges and quit on you. Yield yourself totally unto Him and see Him manifest your shinning through your scars. You are enough because God has made you so.

Remember, There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (1 Cor. 10:13).

Declare With Me: I can handle my giants. I am enough because God made me so!
