Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it – 2 Kings 6:7 (KJV).

That is the Focal Scripture of Be HOPEAssured Devotional today.

There are many answered prayers today that have not been received. The reason being either that the one who prayed does not know God already answered or people still expect God to what they ought to do. Our Focal Scripture’s story shows the full cycle of an answered payer.

When the axe head fell into the river (a need arose) , the son of the Prophet (man) cried out (prayed) unto his master, Elisha (representing God). Now this is where most prayers end because many people elope to other places seeking same solutions.

The Prophet talks back asking where it fell (after praying, God will always answer [or speak back in response to us] according to Jeremiah 33:3). The young man responds (prayer is talking to God and hearing from Him; not a monologue). Communication in prayers is the process that reveals our faith in God.

Elisha cuts a tree, casts it where the axe head fell in the water (God will always visit us at the exact points of our need); and the young man stretched forth his hand as commanded by the Prophet, to take it (God will always give us instructions that will lead to total restoration).

Child of God, at what point are you presently, in the Prayer cycle? Hurrying out of His presence, seeking the same solution at a location different from where it fell, does not guarantee answers. Like Jacob, wherever you meet God, hold on to Him there in faith until He blesses you because he that believeth shall not make haste.

Declare With Me: I will not give up. I will not give in. I will not give way. I will keep pressing until my solutions come. Amen!
